Enoka Gonsalkorala

Following the completion of a degree in Physiotherapy (Hons), Dr Enoka Gonsalkorala completed her post graduate medical degree at the University of Queensland. She undertook her gastroenterology advanced training at the Townville Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. After admission as a fellow to the College of Physicians, Enoka completed a 2-year fellowship at King’s College Hospital, London. During her time at King’s College Hospital Enoka was involved in assessing patients for liver transplantation and managing patients post liver transplantation. She has an interest in liver disease in pregnancy and has been involved in research in this area. Since 2017 she has been employed as a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital and Caboolture hospital. She was actively involved in developing the gastroenterology and hepatology services at Caboolture hospital to enable patients to receive care closer to home and is now at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. Enoka was made the President of GESQ at the end of 2023.
